Townsend BHS wrestling boys went to the Fairfield Mixer Thursday, January 26^th 2012. The boys did very well, a lot of them were sick this week and could not make it to the Fairfield Mixer.

    Baxter Roach, 98 pounds, lost his first match to James Wall from Belt and his second match against Robert Rhodes from Fairfield. Baxter won his last match of the day against Jimmy Smith and pinned him in 45 seconds. Austin McArthur, 105 pounds, won his first match against Jimmy Smith, pinning him in the second period with a time of 2:37. He lost his last match of the day to Randon Anderson from Cutbank. Will Held, 125 pounds, lost his first match to JJ Werdal with a score of 4-14. Will won his last match of the day with a pin versing Micheal Kraft from Cutbank.  Chris Loret De Mola 119 pounds lost his first match to Rabe Whitford from Cutbank and his second match to Tyler Leaken from Fairfield. Colton Bessette 140 pounds lost his first match by fall to Trey Stone from Choteau, and his second match to Neil Johnson from Cutbank.  Ben Aliperto, 145 pounds, lost his first match of the day to Ryan Lesofski from Fairfield by a pin at 1:20. Ben lost his second match to Elias Moore from Heart Butte, and lost his last match of the day to Dustin Hicks from Belt. Wyatt Meehan, at 152 pounds, lost both of his matches to Lane Durfee and Tony Lightener from Choteau.  Albert Tillotson, 160 pounds, lost his first match to Jacob Wagner from Fairfield, his second match to Keane Stewart and his third match to a wrestler from Cutbank.  Evander Wilbur at 171 pounds, lost his first match by fall at 1:30 to Matt McKenzie from Choteau. Evander won his last match of the day to Travis Fields from Choteau by fall at 1:29. Eli Hohn, at 189 pounds, lost his first match to Greg Hinojosa from Choteau, and won his last match to Ron Kinyon from Shelby by fall at 5:15. This match was a very tough match for Eli.

    January 28^th 2012, the BHS wrestling boys had a dual tournament at home in the new gym. Eight teams showed up to this meet. This meet was a very special meet for some of the boys and managers. Saturday night was Senior Night for Broadwater High school, presenting Shay Christiansen the 145 pound senior, Troy Spurlock the 112 pound senior and Paige Lewis the Head Manager. The Broadwater Bulldogs had to wrestle Whitehall starting the day of wrestling and the round started off in the 125 pound weight class.

    Logan Schwope, 125, wrestled Garrett Stewman and pinned him in the first period with one minute left. Will Held, at 130, wrestled Cyris Roberston and went all three periods but got beat with a score of 1-6. Colton Bessette at 135 wrestled Steve Ellis and pinned him in the first period with a time of 1:30. Ben Aliperto lost by fall to Tommy Townsend at 1:10 in the first period. Dakota Kimborough wrestling Sylvis Roberston and won by fall at 1:11 in the first period. Shay Christiansen wrestled Drew Liebers and pinned him in the first period with a time of 48 seconds. Wyatt Meehan, Albert Tillotson, Evander Wibur, Eli Hohn and Troy Spurlock all had forfeits. Baxter Roach 98, lost his first match at 1:54 by a pin in the first period. Austin McArthur lost his first match to Jake Rienschmidt by fall at 1:24 also in the first period.

    Next BHS wrestled Belgrade JV starting off with Colton Bessette who lost his match by fall in the second period. Dakota Kimborough won his second match of the day by fall with a time of 3:39. Shay Christiansen won his second match of the day by fall in the first period with a time of 1:41. Wyatt Meehan lost his second match by fall in the second period. Evander Wilbur lost his second match by one point and went all the way to the end of the whole match with a score of 5-6. Eli Hohn lost his second match with a score of 4-15. Austin McArthur lost by fall in his second match to Dakota Erickson with a time of 3:01. Logan Schwope won by fall against Trey Rickett in the first period at 1:32 and Will Held wrestled Ayden Sterling and lost by fall in the first period with a time of 1:23. Albert Tillotson, Baxter Roach, Troy Spurlock, and Chris Loret De Mola all had forfeits.  The third dual for Townsend was against Powell and it started off with Dakota Kimborough who won his match. Ben Aliperto, Shay Christiansen, Wyatt Meehan, Albert Tillotson, Baxter Roach,Austin McArthur, and Will Held all had forfeits. Evander Wilbur won his match in the second period by fall with a time of 3:48 and Eli Hohn Lost his match in the first period with 40 seconds. Troy Spurlock lost his match by fall with a time of 59 seconds and Logan Schwope won his match in the second period. Chris Loret De Mola lost his match in the first period by fall and the last match of the dual was Colton Bessette and he won his match by fall in the first period.

     The last dual for Townsend was against Fairfield and started with Baxter who lost his match. Austin McArthur had a forfeit. Troy Spurlock lost his first match in the first period to Cache Giles. Logan Schwope won his in the first period and Chris Loret De Mola lost his match in the first. Will Held lost by injury default and Colton Bessette lost his match in the second period. Dakota Kimborough lost his match with a score of 3-15 and Shay Christiansen won his match with a score of 10-2. Wyatt Meehan lost his match in the first round, and Albert Tillotson lost his in the first round also. Evander Wilbur lost his match with a score of 4-8 and Eli Hohn won by fall in his match in the second period with a time of 2:41.

    Troy Spurlock had an exhibition against Clancey Ludvickson from Cascade and won his first match of his high school career. Troy went all three periods with Clancey, pinning him in the final period and the crowd went wild! The next wrestling weekend is divisionals and will be held at Broadwater High School on January 4^th, 2012.
