"Ice Age Premonition"--Just Another Art Review
- George Grie
Advertising

The piece I have chosen to review is "Ice Age Premonition" by George Grie.  The piece was created as an alternative to the global warming theory, seeing that everything would be ice(instead of heating up).  Since everyone was predicting that everything would warm up and melt, George Grie thought it might be a good idea to create an "ice age" piece of art. Kind of ironic!

I chose to review this piece because it seemed to jump out at me.  Even though it was on a screen it still had amazing texture and value to it.  The way there is light reflecting on the ice, the way the spiraling staircase that leads you into the house, and the really interesting contrast between the right and left sides of the piece.  Not to mention the fact that it is a house in a 100 foot tall glacier.  I know I could have never thought of something that clever.

Over all, if you didn't hear the back story behind the piece of art I don't think you really would've understood it, but now that you have, I hope you enjoy it a little more than it just being a "super cool picture".  After all, it is just another art review.
